When both parents are working then one of the major responsibilities for them is to search and select for the best care provider available. These providers tend to provide a warm and stimulating environment to the kids. A growing kids learning centre gives the perfect atmosphere needed for a child’s over all development. The approach of these providers towards a child’s growth is the major consideration while finalizing a care provider.

The various types of educational programs taught at children learning centres aims at helping children to realize their full potential at every stage of development and also influences their future success. These programs presents a variety of interesting open ended learning opportunities for children. This helps in developing the mental abilities of children.

Another aspect to be considered while choosing a care provider is checking the nurturing abilities and educational background of the learning centre teachers. Teachers should be responsible enough to send the daily report of a child’s activities to the parents. Teachers should also set up ‘Parents Information Boards’ in each classroom in order to update the parents about the classroom activities and events taking place. The learning centre should also actively participate in celebrating various festivals and community events. This helps in maintaining a bond between the children and the society.

A learning centre that consists of the above-mentioned features is the perfect abode for your child away from home. The main aim of these centres is to develop a child’s ability with friendly methods and styles.

As parents, we all know the importance of a daycare. Not only are we sad or distraught about sending our children to a total stranger, the search for a quality daycare can be a tedious job, but nonetheless an important one at hand.

One would ask, should I send my child to an established chain daycare facility or should I look into a home daycare? Well the answer is it is up to you, the parent. Myself coming from a background of running a home daycare, they are more personal, the amount of children that can be watched under one provider is much less then a chain daycare facility.

Do you want a childcare provider that is responsible for 5-6 children or a provider that is responsible for 10+ children at once? My choice is the less children being watched means greater child/provider interaction. More attention can be given to your child. Not only attention, but the children seem to interact much better with a home daycare vs. a chain daycare.

Here are some things to consider when looking for the right daycare for your child.

Cleanliness

Amount of children being watcher per provider

Licensed or registered (we will discuss the difference in a later issue)

Flexible schedule (good for the parents who have an weird work hours)

Safety reports

Do they provide transportation to and from school?

Strict on rules or payment issues

and most of all Caring…

When choosing your childcare provider ask if you can sit a day with your child to test the environment out. Making sure your child interacts nicely with the other children. Watch, study how the provider interacts with the children, what they feed them, etc. These are all important factors when choosing the right daycare provider.

We all go through the tough decision for choosing a childcare provider so we all feel your pain of letting your child go
