Understanding Your Childs Temperament

Facing problems while dealing with your child? The answer to this question lies in understanding the temperament of your child. Temperament refers to the natural style of reacting or interacting with other people. Moreover, a child’s health and development is also influenced by his/her temperament.
Different children have different temperaments. The various types of temperament usually featured in a child’s behaviour include-
- Easy and flexible temperament, which helps a child in adjusting in a given situation.
- Children with difficult and feisty temperament are often found fussy and have irregular habits.
- Cautious children slowly warm up to perform a given activity. Children with such temperament are inactive and react negatively to new situations.
There are some traits in a child that helps in determining their temperament. It includes-
- It is important to know that whether you child is actively participating in activities or he is in a relaxed state of mind. A child with difficult temperament will keep on postponing things to next day.
- A child with good temperament will be regular in his sleeping and eating habits.
- Children with cautious temperament often feel shy to meet new people.
- A flexible temperament of a child can easily adjust in new situations and can also easily adapt new routines.
- Children with easygoing temperament will always look out for new ways of learning.
To understand your child’s temperament, it is very important to know what his /her temperament is. Always try to improve your child’s temperament so that he/she can face any problems in future.
